Here's where we will be over the Summer months - June-September 2023

It's been a while since we posted a blog, but thought it was high time to do just that.
The last couple of years have been very difficult for everyone from the pandemic to the current cost of living crisis, but we are still here, trying to source affordable, but still fabulous, gift ideas for our customers - both our regulars (we are so grateful!) and for those of you who are yet to become customers (we hope!). We have added a range of clothing to our collections and are hoping to have them online soon, and you can also check out our extended range of African Recycled Metal Garden Ornaments, some of which are online, others available for collection or can be seen at some of our events.
With summer fast approaching, we thought that we would let you know where and when we'll be out and about at Summer Fetes and Fairs, in case you want to try and catch up with us in the flesh as it were! We'd love to see you - do come and say hello and tell us how you found out about us!
We will have our usual gifts, jewellery, garden ornaments and clothes at most events, although our selection at the Big Cats will be based more on our sustainable collections. If you are planning on coming along to any of these events and would like more information, or even if you would like us to bring something specific, do get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
Sunday 11th June 2023 - 11.00 am - 2.00 pm Elham Food and Craft Market
Takes place in The Square (for foodies) and inside the Church (gifts and refreshments too) in the village of Elham in Kent.
We will be inside the Church (our usual spot if you are regular visitors!) There will be lots of stalls outside in The Square selling wonderful fresh produce with the gift and crafts inside the Church. It's usually a very busy event, so do come and see us! Sunday 25th June 2023 11.00 am - 5.00 pm Staple Country Fayre
This annual traditional country fair will be taking place on the Recreation Ground, Mill Lane, Staple, CT3 1LB from 11.00 am till 4.00 pm. This is a 'real' country fair....as you remember, and what you would expect, and makes a really great day out. Click on link above for more details of the fair. Lots of stalls and traditional events taking place throughout the day. We are stall no: 45, alongside the main arena. Can't wait to see you there! (Gorgeous cakes in the refreshment area too!)

Wednesday 26th to Sunday 30th July 2023 9.30 am - 6.30 pm
Big Cat Sanctuary Annual Open Days
This wonderful event only takes place ONCE a year - it is held at The Big Cat Sanctuary in Smarden in Kent and is a truly fabulous day out for all the family. Great for photographers too, ladies who lunch who prefer a different sort of day out, or just a fun day for friends to enjoy the stunningly beautiful big cats, including cheetahs, lions, tigers and lots more.
The event is a fundraiser to raise money for the Sanctuary which runs both a breeding and conservation programme to protect these endangered species and to ensure their survival for future generations.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance for either a morning or afternoon session, which still gives you plenty of time to see these gorgeous animals and visit the stalls too. Check out their website (on the link above) for tickets or for further information.

Saturday 9th - Sunday 10th September 2023
(Sat: 10.00 am - 6.00 pm, Sun: 11.00 am - 4.00 pm)
Another lovely event held in a beautiful garden in Marden in the heart of the Kent countryside. There will be lots of wonderful artists displaying and selling their beautiful art - everything from ceramics to paintings, jewellery and sculpture. There is also a plant stall and we will be there selling a selection of our gifts, clothes, garden ornaments and home accessories.
There will also be wonderful live music and fab refreshments. Come along, browse the art and stalls and relax in the sunshine (we hope) enjoying a nice glass of something, a good old cup of English tea and soak up the atmosphere.
